Day 1

Thursday

Your experience in the Faroe Islands starts today. You will arrive at Vágar airport. From the airport we drive to Tórshavn and check in at Hotel Føroyar.

Day 2

Friday

We start the day by cycling a quiet ride, where we experienceimpressive panoramic views of the whole of Tórshavn. Distance is approx. 8 km,with a maximum of 200 meters of elevation. The trip is relatively flat and ismainly driven on gravel roads and gravel paths.
After a good lunch, we cycle a longer ride up to a mountain plateau, where there is a former military radar station 725 m above sea level. From here there is a view of a large part of the islands. Distance is approx. 30 km, with approx. 1000 meters of elevation. The tour is run on road, paths and off-road.The trip is moderately difficult with some challenging ascents and descents. Minor drops, holes and stones can be expected. However, trips can be ridden with full ground contact at low speed.

Day 3

Saturday

The day starts with a quiet walk on good paths to Tórshavn's argest water supply plant. Distance is approx. 12 km, with an ascent of approx. 200 meters of elevation. The trip is easy and is on gravel roads and gravel paths, with exciting passages over streams.
After lunch, we cycle a longer ride on hidden paths to the most important historical site of the Faroe Islands, the village of Kirkjubøur. From here is a good view of the southwest islands. Distance is approx. 24 km, with an elevation gain of approx. 600. The ride is on trails with moderate climbs and off-road, but will also include challenging ascents and descents, potholes, and rocks. Tours can be ridden with full ground contact at low speed.

Day 4

Sunday

We start the day by cycling along fun paths between houses and churches and we experience the calm Sunday atmosphere in Tórshavn. Distance is approx. 10 km and altitude are approx. 250. The tour is driven on gravel roads and paths with moderate gradients. After a good lunch, we cycle the highlight of the program, with the longest and most technical ride, which goes up to a beautiful mountain pass with a lake and magnificent views, 337 meters above sea level. Distance is approx. 25, with altitude meters of approx. 700. The trip is moderately difficult and has passages with steep and challenging ascents and descents, most of the trip is off-road.  However, all obstacles can bedriven with full ground contact at low speed.

Day 5

Monday

Your mountain bike holiday in the Faroe Islands has come to an end,and you will be heading back home – Hopefully many memories richer.
