Saturday
Upon arrival at Vágar airport you will already find yourself surrounded by impressive nature. At the airport a shuttle awaits you that will take you to Tórshavn where you will stay for the next seven nights Hotel Tórshavn. If you prefer city life and being downtown, then Hotel Tórshavn is the right hotel for you. You also have the opportunity to upgrade to Hotel Føroyar, or change to another hotel in Tórshavn. The evening offers a Welcome dinner at Restaurant Áarstova, which is famous for their delicious Faroese lamb.
Sunday
Your guided adventure starts today where you are going on a half day tour exploring Vestmanna, Leynar and Kvívík. You will be picked up at the hotel and from here you can relax and take in the beautiful scenery while a guide tells you stories about the places you pass.
In Vestmanna you will go on at boat trip experiencing the highly impressive bird cliffs. After the boat trip you will visit the village Leynar before heading to the wonderful Kvívík. In Leynar you will take a walk on the white sandy beach overlooked by the charming colorful houses. In Kvívík you will visit the historical Viking settlements – This will give you an insight into how the Vikings lived.
Monday
Today you will visit the heart of the Faroe Islands. You will visit the villages Kirkjubøur, Saksun, Tjørnuvík and Gjógv. In Kirkjubøur you will see Saint Olav’s Church, the oldest still used church from the 12thcentury, and the ruins of the Magnus Cathedral from around 1300. You will then head to Saksun, where you will see the seawater lagoon and the beautiful old church. Tjørnuvík is known for its magical black sandy beach surrounded by high mountains and stunning view of Risin & Kellingin, also known as the Giant and the Hag. Legend has it that they tried to drag the Faroe Islands to Iceland. You will also be able to enjoy your lunch pack, while admiring the views from Tjørnuvík. After lunch you will visit the lovely Gjógv that is named after its amazing gorge. In Gjógv you will take your time strolling around the village and enjoy its beauty before taking the scenic route back to the hotel.
Tuesday
On this day you are you are going on a full day tour exploring Vágar. You will be picked up at the hotel and from here you can relax and take in the beautiful scenery on your way. You will visit the charming village Bø and the fairy-tale like village Gásadalur. Gásadalur is home to the beautiful and probably the most photographed waterfall Múlafossur, and you will also have a wonderful view to the island Mykines. From Bø you will have a stunning view of the islet Tindhólmur and the amazing sea stacks, Drangarnir.
Wednesday
On this day you will take a trip to Suðuroy, the southernmost island. You will take the ferry at 08:45 on a 2-hour long ferry ride passing Sandoy, Skúvoy, Lítla Dímun and Stóra Dímun, while listening to stories about the Viking legends Tróndur and Sigmund. When arriving at the port, you will take a short drive down to the southern most point of the Faroe Island, Akraberg, before going north exploring stunning sights and charming historic villages, while immersing yourself in the secrets of the Vikings.
Thursday
Today you will be able to explore on your own or add a guided tour to Mykines.
You can enjoy a day exploring Tórshavn, the smallest capital in the world. Take a walk through the city and visit the old part of town. You can also visit the craft and wool shops along with a cozy café. If you like artifacts, you can visit several museums in the city. If the beautiful Mykines has piqued your interest, you can also add a guided tour to explore the islands known as the puffin island, where, if you are lucky, you will be able to see puffins.

Friday
On this day you will explore the Northern Islands. You will make a brief stop in Leirvík before visiting the wonderful Borðoy, where you will explore the city Klaksvík, which is known as the heart of the fishing industry. Then you will visit the secluded village Kunoy – which funny enough is on the island Kunoy – before going to the beautiful village Viðareiði, the northernmost village in the Faroe Islands. On your way back to Tórshavn you will drive through the impressive Subsea tunnel with a roundabout.
In the evening there will be a table waiting for you at Ruts, which is located at Hotel Føroyar, where you will be able to eat delicious food consisting mainly of local and seasonal ingredients. To complement the innovative menus, you get to enjoy the best view in town overlooking Tórshavn, Nólsoy and the fjord.
Saturday
Your guided experience has come to an end and a shuttle taxi will take you back to Vágar airport. We hope that this adventure has richened you with old stories and traditions, great food, and amazing nature.
